Brevet Colonel Fifth Army Corps Army of the Potomac Battle of Chancellorsville Battle of Antietam Battle of Gettysburg Burial: Arlington National Cemetery ALMONT BARNES, formerly editor of the Black River Budget, was captain of Company C., 1st N. Y. Artillery, and was active in recruiting soldiers. He was Lieutenant in the Carthage Battery.
