Alfred Lawrence Pearson Sands Colonel, United States Army

Alfred Lawrence Pearson Sands was born in Pennsylvania.  He was a member of the United States Military Academy Class of 1904, but did not graduate with the class.  During his career, he earned the Distinguished Service Medal and the Silver Star.  He died in New Jersey on 28 September 1960.                          Alfred Lawrence Pearson Sands, Colonel, United States Army, is the son of George H. Sands, Colonel, United States Army, the newphew of James Hoban Sands, Rear Admiral, United States Navy and the grandson of Benjamin F. Sands, Rear Admiral, United States Navy.  He was born 26 October 1882, at Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, and died on 28 September 1960.
