February 20, 1864. Charles died March 17, 1922 in Clarendon, Arlington, Virginia, at 58 years of age. He married twice. He married Elizabeth Newburgh Quinton in Fort Washakie, Wyoming Territory, August 27, 1888. Elizabeth was born in Fort Shaw, Montana Territory April 9, 1872. He married Mary Eula Hare in Washington, D.C., March 4, 1903. Mary was born in Fort Abraham Lincoln, Dakotas Territory January 28, 1882. Mary was the daughter of General Luther Rector Hare. F. Mason, United States Army of the same post, were married this evening
at the residenceof the bride's grandparents, Colonel and Mrs. John
Hancock. No cards of invitation were issued for theceremony, which
was attended by only a small family party.
