Jacob Rumbough of Virginia
Appointed from Virginia, Cadet, United States Military Academy, 1 September 1876 (13) Second Lieutenant, 3rd U. S. Artillery, 12 June 1880 First Lieutenant, 30 November 1888 Captain, 2 March 1899 Artillery Corps, 2 February 1901 He served through the ranks to Colonel, United States Army. He died in Illinois on 26 December 1912 and was buried with full military honors in Arlington National Cemetery. He was was the father of David
