The shadows of early-morning visitors fall on the grave of former U.S. President John F. Kennedy at
Arlington National Cemetery in Virginia, May 29, 2005. A simple ceremony to place a Memorial Day
wreath at the grave included a prayer and a bugler playing taps. President Kennedy, assassinated
November 22, 1963, would have been 88 today, his birthday.
