"Jack" was a member of the Class of `59, Nowich University where he was comissioned as a Second Lieutenant, Armor. While at Norwich he attained the rank of Lieutnant Colonel and commanded the 2nd Cadet Battalion. He is also remembered by his alumnus on a memorial at the university. Also included as one of his classmates was General Gordon Sullivan, former Chief of Staff of the Army.
