Joseph Jacob Bogart died at the National Naval Medical Center, on Wednesday, December 23, 1998, of Chevy Chase, Maryland. He was the beloved husband of Rita F. Bogart; devoted father of Beth A. Bogart and Mrs. Bogart's son, Eric A. Fountain, Jr; grandfather of Alexander and Adrian Howe, Tripp, Andrew and Aubrey Fountain and Cole Fenton. Three sisters and two brothers also survive. Colonel Bogart was a decorated 14th Air Force Flying Tiger pilot, who fought in the China-Burma-India theater and a career Air Force officer. He then worked for the Department of Defense until his retirement. Service will be held at Fort Myer Chapel, Wednesday,
January 13, 1999, at 1 p.m. Interment Arlington National Cemetery. In lieu
of flowers, contributions may be made to Cushing Support and Research Foundation,
