He is buried in Section 1 of Arlington National Cemetery with his father, Wendell Gray Switzer, Vice Admiral, United States Navy, his mother, Anna Lamar Switzer, and his brother, Wendell Gray Switzer Jr, Lieutenant (jg), United States Navy, also a Naval aviator and also killed in an aircraft accident.
