WILSON, JOHN W., Private, Company B, 2nd North
Carolina Infantry. Resided in Wilson County where he enlisted at age 28,
May 7, 1862, for the war. Present or accounted for on company muster rolls
until cap-tured at Kelly's Ford, Virginia, November 7-8, 1863. Died in
hospital at Washington, D.C., January 11, 1864, of " typhoid pneumonia."
