Kenneth Robert Sawyer was born on September 1, 1942.  He became a member of the Army while in  Alexandria, Virginia and attained the rank of Captain.

 On February 12, 1969 at the age of 26, Kenneth Robert Sawyer gave his life in the service of our country  in South Vietnam, Long Khanh Province.

NOTE: Captain Sawyer is buried in the same section at Arlington National Cemetery as his father, Robert K. Sawyer, Colonel, United States Army.
