Lloyd Paul Heinzen Lieutenant, United States Navy

Lieuenant Heinzenm, age 23, of Colorado Springs, Colorado, was the pilot of a Navy transport plane which crashed into Mount Beacon at Beacon, New York, on 11 November 1945, while on a flight from Caldwell, New Jersey, to Quansot, Rhode Island.  Six persons were aboard the plane and all were killed, including Commodore Dixie Kiefer.  Click on Commodore Kiefer's link for complete information on the incident.
