on May 22, 1852 in Virginia, she was the wife of Lieutenant
General Arthur MacArthur, Jr. and the mother of Arthur
MacArthur III and Douglas MacArthur.
She died on December 3, 1935, while living with Douglas and his family in the Philippines, and was buried with her husband in Section 2 of Arlington National Cemetery.
