Cadet, United States Military Academy from 17 June 1890 to 20 January 1891 and 17 June 1891 to 9 May 1893 Served as Private, Corporal and Sergeant, Company G, 16th U.S. Infantry, 27 May 1893 to 7 April 1896 Commissioned Second Lieutenant, 6th U. S. Infantry, 23 March 1896 Died 2 July 1898 of wounds received on 1 July 1898 at the Battle of San Juan, Santiago, Cuba.
