William Snider, Private, Co H, 16th Battalion NC Cavalry, Transferred from Co. D, 62nd Georgia Cavarly July 11, 1864.  Present and accounted for through Oct 1864.  Captured in Stokes Co., NC March 1st, 1865 and confined at Point Lookout, Md., until released after taking the Oath of Allegiance Jun 30, 1865.  Admitted to hospital at Point Lookout on July 2, 1865 with “chronic diarrhea” and transferred to General Hospital, Armory Square, Washington, DC July 24, 1865.  Transferred to Douglas General Hospital Washington, DC Aug 17, 1865 where he died August 30, 1865 of ‘chronic diarrhea.
