George Platt Tourtellot was born on 5 November 1895 in Wright,Iowa. He was married to Peggy Leota Strane (born 19 January 1894 at Edna, Texas) on 23 April 1921.
The General died on active duty at Mount Clemens, Macomb County, Michigan on 26 October 1946.
