Born in Cherry Tree, Pennsylvania, he was the son of the late Harry L. and Martha C. (Lee) Lehman. Colonel Lehman, a veteran of World War II, the Korean conflict and the Vietnam war, was the recipient of many medals, including the Bronze Star with 1st Oak Leaf Cluster and the Legion of Merit. He retired from the Army in 1969. Surviving
are his wife of 15 years, Margaret Rinaldi Lehman, of Columbia, SC; brother,
Harold of Auburn, PA and Carl R. of Davidsville, PA; daughters, Rose Mary
Meckley of Ft. Worth, TX and Ellen M. Stafford of Limestone, TN; step-sons,
Richard Rinaldi of Aston, PA and James Rinaldi of New Albany, OH; two grandsons;
three granddaughters; two step-grandsons; two step-granddaughters and one
great-granddaughter. A military service will be held at the Ft. Myers
Old Post Chapel, Arlington, VA on Friday, January 8, 1999 at 11 a.m. Interment
Arlington National Cemetery. The family suggests that contributions be
made in his name to a charity of your choice.
