The daughter of Lietuenant General Philip Henry Sheridan, she was born in 1877 and died in 1964. Apparently she was never married and is buried with her parents in Section 2 of Arlington National Cemetery.
Louise and Irene Sheridan were twins. Born In Chicago, 7 May 1877 Louise died in November 1969 in Washington, D.C. Their sister, Mary Sheridan, is also buried with them.
IRENE SHERIDAN DEAD AT 87; DAUGHTER OF UNION GENERAL
WASHINGTON, December 7, 1964 – Miss Irene Sheridan, daughter of General Philip H. Sheridan of Civil War fame, died Saturday night in her home. She was 87 years old.
Miss Sheridan was born in Chicago. Her mother, the former Irene Rucker, was the daughter of Major General Daniel Henry Rucker, United States Army. Mrs. Sheridan died in 1938, 50 years after General Sheridan’s death.
Mrs. Sheridan lived here with her daughters – a third daughter, Mary Sheridan died five years ago – and gave weekly reception that were attended by Washington’s best society.
General Sheridan, commander of the Army of the Shenandoah, made his famous ride to rally troops and turn defeat into victory, after General Jubal E. Early’s surprise attack at Cedar Creek, Virginia in 1864.

Michael Robert Patterson was born in Arlington and is the son of a former officer of the US Army.
