Colonel Joseph Page Aleshire was born on 6 December 1887 in Fort Custer, Montana. He died on 25 January 1951 in Mobile, Alabama. He was buried in Arlington National Cemetary. He married Eleanor Redwood Vidmer on 15 June 1915 in West Point, Orange, New York. Eleanor Redwood Vidmer was born on 11 July 1895 in Fort Assiniboine, Montana. She died on 17 November 1992 in Spanish Fort, Baldwin, Aalabama. She was buried in Arlington National Cemetery.
1887-1951. The son of James Buchanan and Harriet Aleshire, he is buried in an adjacent gravesite in Section 2 of Arlington National Cemetery.

NOTE: He was the father-in-law of Frederic William Boye, Jr. Major General, United States Army. The General married the Colonel's daughter, Margaret Page Aleshire. The General and his wife are also buried in Arlington National Cemetery.
