Lieutenant Colonel Louis Mervin Maus, Deputy Surgeon General, USA, (effective 7 April 1902). The wife of Colonel L.M. Maus, USA, was Mrs. Anna R. Maus, who died on 17 August 1941, age 85. She was well recognized amongst the wives of the Army & Navy Club members for many years in Arlington, Virginia.

Colonel Maus was the brother of Marion Perry Maus, Brigadier General, United States Army.
