2007:
ROGERS, NATHAN A., Private, Company E, 44th
North Carolina Infantry. Born in Chatham County where he resided prior
to enlisting at "Love's Store" at age 19, March 11, 1862. Present or accounted
for until captured at Bristoe Station, Virginia, October 14, 1863. Confined
at Old Capitol Prison, Washington, D.C., October 15, 1863. Died in hospital
at Washington on December 7, 1863, of "diarrhoea chronica." [NCT 10:442]
